Bob's Red Mill Potato Starch Unmodified

Potato Starch is used as a thickener for sauces, soups, and stews. Potato starch tolerates higher temperatures than cornstarch when used as a thickener. It's a natural way to add moistness to many baked goods. Helpful Hints: 3/4 cup Potato Starch = 1 cup wheat flour for thickening sauces, soups and soups when recipe calls for flour. Mix starch with little cold liquid before adding to hot liquid.
